ABOUT
Chan Wing Lam Lydia completed Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2020, specializing in metalsmith and printmaking.
Focusing on mezzotint as her major creative outlet, Chan seeks inspiration from everyday objects and tries to piece together a “new reality” by contemplating the relationship between humans and the surroundings that mold their life. The artist believes that we are all somehow connected by daily objects even if we do not share the same experience, and thus hopes to provoke self-examination and collective memories through her works.
With an aim to expand the boundaries of printmaking and metalsmithing as well as the possibility of intaglio printmaking with metals, Chan has attempted to perform mezzotint on different metallic materials including copper, brass and silver.SOLO EXHIBTION
